Did You Know.....Full Sail’s Graphic Design program, offered both on campus and online, teaches students skills that are highly sought-after in the creative industry. Students will learn how to meet deadlines and work within specific creative demands while producing high-end design work in a variety of format. Change of major applications will be considered only for current UCLA students who have successfully completed at least one quarter at UCLA and are in good academic standing. The number of accepted applicants is based on the current total enrollment of undergraduates in the department. If there is no additional enrollment space for a specific year, change of major applications will not be considered.

Meet our Faculty
BSEE works to promote safety and protect the environment through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement and is working to develop technical and safety standards collaboratively with industry and other organizations to ensure a safe and environmentally sound U.S. offshore wind energy industry. In fiscal year 2024, BSEE oversaw the installation and successful start to the operation of the nation’s first two commercial-scale, offshore wind projects. During the Biden-Harris administration, the Department has approved the nation's first eight commercial-scale offshore wind projects, with a combined potential of over 10 gigawatts of clean, renewable energy able to power nearly 4 million homes. The Department has also taken steps to grow a sustainable offshore wind industry by encouraging the use of project labor agreements, strengthening workforce training, bolstering a domestic supply chain, and enhancing engagement with Tribes, fisheries, underserved communities and ocean users. Over the next 20 years, the final rule is expected to result in cost savings of roughly $1.9 billion to the offshore wind industry, savings that can be passed onto consumers and used to invest in additional job-creating clean energy projects. Pete Choquette, founder and principal of real estate development firm Solsbury Hill and sister design firm Centripetal Works, won the Solar Decathlon 2024 Alumni Award.
Our Programs
The supplemental application is considered most heavily in the admission process and will be reviewed by the senate faculty of the Department. Rather than focusing on narrow professional development, our curriculum fosters experimentation across a range of different media. We privilege a social outlook, process, experimentation, and personal growth over conservatism and commercialism and we search for students who share the same goals. We strive to provide a broad education that encourages young people to make new connections, to analyze complex situations, and to think critically. Our programs are built on a foundation of cutting-edge curriculum, expert faculty, and industry integration. All students in the Interior Design program are mentored and guided by our faculty advisers. Our courses integrate the educational experience that will help students attain promising careers in interior design. 10% of students currently enrolled in the interior design program are international students.
All programs provide internship and study abroad opportunities, access state-of-the-art facilities, labs, and equipment in the Visual Arts Complex, workshops, and seminars. In addition, at the end of each semester, art directors from advertising agencies and graphic design, artists and illustrators from animation and game studios are invited to review the portfolios of student interns. The Art and Design Department has a 120 credit hour BFA Program with a Graphic Design Concentration that explores design history, animation, book arts, human-centered design, typography, identity design, UI/UX design, and illustration. Specific course and elective examples for the program include Interaction Design (I-III), Graphic Design I-II, Advertising Design, Digital Video, Typography (I-III), and Animation, Video, and Interactive Design, Type in Motion, Illustration (I-II), Book Arts, and Advanced Interactive Media Art. The OTIS Graphic Design MFA features an accelerated curriculum running four consecutive semesters over 14 months. The program, which typically begins in the summer semester, consists of courses in history and design theory, studio projects, round table discussions, and workshops led by visiting artists and designers.
